Thank you Mesa! June Dairy Month was a success.

Thanks to the Mesa community, the return of Coulee Flats Dairy & JC's Mesa Grocery June Dairy Month resulted in a strong contribution to our Mesa Elementary CPT program.

Even in these crazy times, with schools closed, the community got the word out and shoppers purchased over 1,000 gallons of Darigold milk in June!

The donation will go to the Mesa Elementary CPT program, to support their goal of investing in enough Chromebooks so the older students who use them for schoolwork do not have to share. With so much instruction moving online, we feel great about this opportunity to fill a specific need and make a difference.

This promotion was a great way to welcome the Dogra family to Mesa and get to know these very new store owners. They are working to make the store a great place to shop for necessities, like milk and other staples. The store looks awesome and they are stocking it with great products, with the goal of adding some coolers with more perishables to provide fresh healthy food locally. Stop in, browse, and meet the family next time you are near town!

Working with Darigold and their distributor, the Dogras offered gallons for $2 each during the month, providing a great value to shoppers, and they committed to matching our $1 donation, which doubles the impact. What's not to love about $2 milk, resulting in a $2 donation to our school kids?

The Dogras also have a small food pantry set up by the store entry, with free items for anyone in need and struggling with the COVID economic interruptions. We really enjoyed this opportunity to do something small, but positive in the middle of a lot of turmoil and negativity.

Despite "social distancing" requirements, we proved that a community can come together and support each other. It just makes us excited for making next year's June Dairy Month bigger and better!
