Our Co-op has some exciting news about operations in the Tri-Cities area!
As part of the Northwest Dairy Association (NDA), our Coulee Flats Dairy milk supplies Darigold brand milk and milk products distributed locally and around the world. We are excited to share the news that the Co-op is investing in a modern, large facility very close to us at the Port of Pasco.
Read the full story here. We have been passionate about building up and supporting the Mesa community we live and work in. The Darigold plant will bring even more jobs - about 1,200 and opportunities to our area. The miles our milk will have to travel to be turned into dairy products will be shortened. The overall economic impact of our industry to our area will go up, while our carbon footprint will go down.
A new investment like this makes us feel positive about the future of dairy in our region. Our owner, Dairy Farmers Case VanderMeulen is proud to serve on the NDA board, helping to make strategic decisions like these.
